Western North Carolina got a dazzling view of the northern lights on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and there's another possible chance to see the light show on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The Space Weather Prediction Center is forecasting that a severe geomagnetic storm will impact Earth earlier in the evening on Wednesday and overnight.

The best time to try to view the aurora on Wednesday will be any time after 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, News 13's chief meteorologist Jason Boyer said a strong geomagnetic storm was forecast to hit Earth, with the best chance to see the light show between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.
