Customers fighting and upset over Starbucks 'Bearista' cups, released Thursday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — In a desperate frenzy, Starbucks fans are upset and complaining about the lack of supply for the viral Starbucks "Bearista" cups, part of their holiday merchandise.
Starbucks posted about the cute bearista on social media on Wednesday, stating, "who's getting a bearista cup on 11/6 lmk."
Apparently, everyone wanted a cup, as the supply of bearista cups undermined the number of customers who lined up as early as 3:45 a.m. on Thursday to get their hands on a glass bear mug.
The 20-oz.cup, a glass cold cup in the shape of a bear, features a green beanie for a lid and striped white and green straw.
Customers are upset about how they felt there wasn't enough supply, going to multiple stores to try and find one. People are even seen fighting on social media for a coveted bear cup.
Originally priced at $29.95, these viral Starbucks cups are reselling on sites for up to $500!
According to a Starbucks statement obtained by ENews, the popular drink company said, “The excitement for our merchandise exceeded even our biggest expectations. Despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast."
Some users are now taking to other online shopping sites to make their own dupe version of the glass bear cup, going to find cheaper options to follow the trend.
As the past few days have proved to customers, the search became almost unbear-able.
