INSTITUTE, W.Va. (WCHS) — West Virginia State football concluded their spring football workouts with Friday's spring game. Players such as Noel Felder were held out, but it was a chance to sing some young players' shine. A lot of athleticism was on display and Coach Pennington liked the energy and effort out of his guys this spring.

"Leadership, you know, that was something that, you know, we were a pretty young team last year, WVSU Head Football Coach John Pennington said. "It was a point of emphasis all, all winter, all spring and, you know, just love how the guys led this team on both sides of the ball."
