Once an abandoned vehicle that served as a humble home to farming equipment, this now-empty school bus (officially known as That Northwest Bus) in Washtucna, Washington, has become a must-stop for road-trippers eager to leave their artistic calling card and experience an offbeat attraction.

Over time, travelers and artists have turned the faded yellow surface of the bus into a constantly changing canvas, painting signatures, designs and messages.

That Northwest Bus is parked at 1035 S Hwy 261 in Washtucna, which is a little over an hour’s drive from Spokane.

Visitors are asked to “leave no trace,” besides their art, and they should use the hashtag #thatNWbus when posting photos on social media!
