A Texas man accused of sexually grooming a Putnam County teenager for years has been charged after State Police said thousands of explicit messages were exchanged on digital platforms.

Seth Boland, of Detroit has been charged with possession of child pornography and solicitation of a minor, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police.

The news release said back in May, a report was filed State Police, claiming an unknown man was using Discord and Snapchat to communicate with a 16-year-old Hurricane girl.

Troopers said a search of accounts revealed “thousands of sexually explicit images and videos of the victim and suspect.”

Investigators said Boland is accused of grooming the girl since she was 13 years old.

Troopers said authorities in Texas were contacted last month and a search of Boland’s home led to an arrest.

On Wednesday, troopers learned a second female – a 14-year-old from Missouri – allegedly exchanged explicit content with Boland.
