Joe Dicristofaro

MultiMedia Journalist

Hello! I’m Joe DiCristofaro, and I’m thrilled to begin my career right here in my home state of West Virginia. I grew up in a small town just outside of Bluefield, where I developed a love for the outdoors—something that continues to be a big part of my life when I’m not in the newsroom.

I graduated from Marshall University in the fall of 2024. While at Marshall, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the sports editor for the student-run newspaper, The Parthenon. It was a dream come true for someone who has spent his whole life cheering on the Herd.

During my time in college, I also completed an internship with the Ironton Tribune in Ironton, Ohio. That experience opened my eyes to the power of local journalism and deepened my passion for covering stories that truly impact the community.

When I’m not reporting, you’ll probably find me outside—whether it’s hiking, fishing, or anything in between. I’m also an avid antique hunter and love scoping out the best deals in shops all across the Tri-State area.

I’m excited to tell stories that matter, connect with the people of this region, and give back to the place that has given me so much.
