Flood Watch in effect for Father's Day
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for most of West Virginia and eastern Ohio through this evening.
Slow moving downpours were already plentiful across the region Sunday morning and are expected to continue through the day.
With light winds in the atmosphere, downpours will linger much longer than they did Saturday, and can produce between one to three inches of rain in some locations today, which could result in flash flooding.
Monitor streams and creeks closely if you live near them and be ready to take action if needed.
