First practice held ahead of North-South All-Star Football Classic

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A busy week of football is ahead for some of West Virginia's best seniors high school football players from this past season.

The Par Mar Friday Night Rivals North-South All-Star Football Classic returns with kickoff set for Saturday, June 19 at South Charleston High School.

The Classic is sponsored in part by WCHS-TV and Fox-11 and will air live on WCHS-TV starting at noon. Mark Martin and Mick Price will be on the call for action.

On Sunday, players from the North Bears and South Cardinals made the trip to West Virginia State University, where they'll stay and practice until Saturday's Classic.

The South Cardinals are coached by Greenbrier East's Ray Lee while North Marion's Daran Hays guides the North Bears.
