"Fallon’s had every job here except being the janitor." That’s a real quote from one of my co-workers—and while it’s an exaggeration, it’s not much of one.
I'm a proud local and have been part of the WCHS team for more than a decade. I started as an intern and worked my way up to my current role as Senior Assignment Editor.
My journey has taken me through nearly every corner of the newsroom. I began as a video editor back when we still used tape—yes, I hand-labeled every story and logged the exact time it aired. From there, I moved into a hybrid role as a reporter/producer, then transitioned to full-time reporting, and eventually stepped into producing.
I did take a brief detour from news to teach 6th grade English for four years—a chapter full of unforgettable stories (but we’ll save those for another time).
Ultimately, I found my way back to WCHS, and I like to think I’m here to stay. Some places just feel like home.
You’ll still occasionally see me reporting on-air, but when I’m not in the newsroom, I’m usually hanging out with my 11-year-old son—or my cat, Frog (yes, that’s really her name; she came with it).
