HAMTRAMCK, MI (Amazing America) — It’s a sort of Disneyland of Detroit. We’re talking about the whimsical world of Hamtramck Disneyland—get ready for an explosion of wonderful and wacky.
It began three decades ago as the brainchild of retired General Motors factory worker Dmytro Szylack.
The color scheme of this folk-art fantasyland is based on the flags of Ukraine, Germany, and the United States. His goal: to pay homage to all the places he once called home.
