HURRICANE, W.Va. (WCHS) — The West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration took its DUI simulator to Hurricane High School on Wednesday.
Around 400 students learned about the dangers of drinking and driving by using the simulator.
It simulates increased blood alcohol content and slowed their reaction time during driving.
"It builds awareness. It promotes responsibility, decision making, it builds empathy and it also demonstrates consequence," driver's education teacher Annamaria Kiser told Eyewitness News.
The simulator will be at Lincoln County High School on Thursday and Friday.
