SUMMERS COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A West Virginia teacher is accused of assaulting a student who was allegedly involved in a fight with another student, deputies said.
Ashley McMillan, 42, of Hinton was charged Monday with child abuse resulting in injury by a person in a position of trust and one count of battery, according to a news release from the Summers County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges stem from an incident at Summers County High School on Friday where deputies said two students were involved in a physical fight and McMillan intervened.
Deputies said McMillan is then accused of assaulting one of the students that was involved in the altercation. No other details were provided.
