Charleston Dirty Birds' Light the Night returns to Charleston's GoMart Ballpark
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A popular holiday event that transforms a baseball diamond into a shining source of cheer will be making a comeback to the capital city in 2024.
Light the Night, an impressive holiday display accompanied by vendors and family-friendly activities at GoMart Ballpark, will open Friday, Nov. 15, according to a social media post from the Charleston Dirty Birds.
The post said 2024's display will offer 2.5 million lights, ice skating, special events and activities for kids.
Last year's event lasted six weeks and ran through New Year's Day, offering visitors an aerial view of Charleston from a Ferris wheel and visits from Kris Kringle himself.
According to the ball club, more than 120,000 people attended last year's Light the Night from 42 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Event organizers said tickets will go on sale Thursday, Aug. 15. For more information on Light the Night, click here.
