The Marshall Thundering Herd hit the road on Saturday to face the Georgia State Panthers at Center Park Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

A near-perfect day from Carlos Del Rio-Wilson boosted the Herd to a 30-18 victory over the home team, leveling their record back to .500 on the year.

Del Rio-Wilson, an Atlanta native, only had five incompletions all afternoon, going 22/27 for 321 yards and three touchdowns. On top of that, he had 97 yards on 17 rushing attempts, ultimately accounting for 418 of Marshall's 489 total yards.

It was a team effort as well for Marshall, with four different players scoring touchdowns. Michael Allen scooted in for a rushing touchdown, while Toby Payne, Demarcus Lacey and Adrian Norton all hauled in one receiving touchdown apiece.

Georgia State took an early 7-0 lead in the opening quarter, but Marshall quickly tied it up and then took the lead in the second quarter, never giving up the lead from that point on.

Panthers QB TJ Finley was 25/39 for 251 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Georgia State's offense was highlighted by running back Jordon Simmons, who had 164 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 19 carries.

The Herd improve to 5-5 on the season and 3-3 in Sun Belt Conference play. Marshall remains on the road next Saturday, Nov. 22, and head to Boone, N.C., to take on the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
