Brenen Lorient puts up 26 points in WVU's 69-47 win over Lehigh

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WCHS) — The West Virginia Mountaineers' men's basketball team hosted the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at Hope Coliseum for a Sunday afternoon showdown.
Entering the game 2-0, WVU left the game with their unbeaten season still intact with a 69-47 win over the Mountain Hawks.
Brenen Lorient led the way for the Mountaineers, scoring a career-high 26 points off of 32 minutes of action. Harlan Obioha was the only other WVU player to reach double-digit points, only scoring 12 for the day.
Andrew Urosevic and Joshua Ingram combined for 30 of Lehigh's 47 points, with Urosevic putting up 16 points and Ingram contributing 14 of his own. No other Mountain Hawk scored more than five points.
The Mountaineers led Lehigh in nearly every major statistical category except for free throw percentage – Lehigh shot 72.7% against WVU's 64%, though Lehigh had considerably less attempts than WVU.
Lehigh falls to 1-2 on the season and will remain on the road to face Rutgers on Friday at 6:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network+.
Meanwhile, WVU improves to 3-0 and looks to keep its undefeated season alive against also-undefeated Pitt. The game will be the fourth of five straight home games to open the season for the Mountaineers. That game is slated for tip-off at approximately 6 p.m., and television coverage can be found on FOX Sports 1.
