Braxton Schools offering 'activity' buses to transport kids to after-school activities

Braxton County Schools announced the school system will soon have three “activity” buses to assist families with combating high fuel prices and transporting kids to after-school activities.

The service will be starting on Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to a Facebook post Monday shared on the school system’s Facebook page.

Specific drop-off will be determined by where the students live.

School officials said the three buses will cover the following areas:

* Middle and high schools to Airport Road to Flatwood Elementary to Burnsville Elementary areas

* Middle and high schools to Chapel Road, Davis Elementary and Frametown Elementary areas.

* Middle and high schools to Sutton to Wolfe Run to Little Birch areas.

Anyone who is interested in having his or her child ride an activity bus is asked to contact the board office at 304-765-7101, Extension 0.
