A to Z Outlet set to open in Putnam County ahead of schedule
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Shoppers may find a bargain earlier than anticipated as a new outlet store is opening its doors two months ahead of schedule.
A-Z Outlet, which was originally slated to open on Jan. 1, 2026, will be ready for shoppers in late October, according to a social media post from the business.
The store has taken over the former Big Lots building in Teays Valley’s Putnam Village Plaza and has scheduled a soft opening for Tuesday, Oct. 28 and a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1.
“Our amazing team deserves the biggest thank you!” the post said. “Not only did we open a brand new store from scratch in less than six weeks, but we also had to close and completely empty another one at the same time, and we did it!”
According to its website, A-Z is a family-owned and operated business that carries brand-name merchandise at discount prices.
Management noted a Facebook live event is planned for Monday at 6 p.m.
